Semiotic Logo- AT&T

I purposely put this logo up without the company name. Can you guess what it is?

That's right. It's AT&T. Everyone has seen this logo plastered in every capacity - from  billboards to cellphone screens.  While the AT&T logo has changed over the years, it has still kept its identifiable qualities.  Just as technology changes with time, so has it's brand look.  The swooping globe speaks to the company's mission right up front: to provide reliable communication around the world.  It stands out from, say, the verizon or t-mobile logos as it can represent the company just by a SYMBOL, and not needing the brand name to accompany it.  It is a universal picture, and its very tech-savvy look speaks to the kind of product it is selling: of the newest technology and of the best quality.
